The Employment and Manufacturing Division of CABVI

CABVI’s Central Industries’ manufacturing, filling, kitting, sewing, and packaging operations provide competitive and integrated employment opportunities for people who are blind and visually impaired.

Combined, these dedicated and hard-working manufacturing employees produce products for Federal and NYS customers through the preferred source programs at National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and the New York State Preferred Source Program (NYSPSP). Our products are shipped out all over the United States, on time, and to thousands of satisfied customers.

Central Industries Impact

In Central Industries, more than 120 employees, half of whom are legally blind, work together to produce high-quality products for many customers.

The manufacturing areas of CABVI offer jobs that provide prevailing wages with a full range of fringe benefits.

CABVI continues to push logical growth with the Central Industries Manufacturing Division as the unemployment rate of those who are legally blind, and of working age, is a staggering 70%.

CABVI will push forward with its mission of providing competitive employment until every person who is legally blind, and wants an optimum and integrated job, gains meaningful employment.
