CABVI Announces Promotions

UTICA, NY…The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired Board of Directors has announced the promotion of Vice President of Products and Distribution Katie Eddy to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Vice President of Operations Scott MacGregor to Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective January 1.

As CRO, in addition to her current responsibilities, Eddy will lead revenue strategy and growth initiatives including sales, business development, and partnership development. She will provide strategic oversight into CABVI’s manufacturing, customer service, and quality assurance teams to support sustainable growth and strong financial performance.

As COO, in addition to his current responsibilities, MacGregor will provide strategic oversight to our Rehabilitation Department, ensuring that departmental operations, programs and service delivery meet quality, compliance, performance, and financial standards. He will also lead CABVI’s fundraising and philanthropic strategy.

Eddy has more than 20 years of executive experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multimillion-dollar projects in diverse sectors, including healthcare, retail, sales, higher education, and non-profit. As Vice President of Products and Distribution at CABVI, she has successfully overseen $63M in annual sales, driving growth through innovative product development, strategic sourcing, and operational efficiency.

With expertise in strategic operations, procurement, and contract negotiations, Eddy is passionate about transforming organizations by aligning business objectives with actionable, mission-driven strategies. She is committed to fostering inclusive workplaces and has led initiatives that create employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, while optimizing supply chains and improving processes for sustainable growth.

As a skilled leader in driving organizational change, mentoring teams, and cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability, Eddy’s experience in cross-departmental cooperation, market analysis, and brand strategy equips her to effectively guide organizations in navigating today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

With an MBA and continuous professional development, Katie shares her insights and practical strategies at training events, offering valuable lessons on leadership, business development, and fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.

New Hartford native MacGregor grew up in Rochester, NY and Merritt Island, FL. After graduating from George Mason University and Duquesne University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1994, he was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1994 and practiced law and served as an adjunct professor teaching paralegal courses at Penn State University.

MacGregor was employed as a corporate trainer in Raleigh, North Carolina and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar Association. Returning to New York in 2004, Macgregor became a new-hire trainer for APAC before joining CABVI in 2007 where he held several positions including most recently Vice President of Operations, overseeing six departments.
