Licensed Social Worker
CABVI is seeking a Full time Licensed Social Worker to Provide a full range of psychological assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic mental health services for individuals. They will Develop and direct support group sessions.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
- Collect consumer data through review of case history, staff consultation, interview and/or psychological testing.
- Select appropriate treatment plan based on sound social work practice and medical plan guidelines.
- Deliver individual and group in-person counseling and support groups, applying therapeutic treatment interventions to both individuals and family members.
- Review reliability and validity of treatment modalities; ensure QA/HIPAA compliance.
- Consult with related professionals and refers as clinically necessary.
- Present social work-related programs to staff.
- Remain current in profession through continuing education.
- As part of the Rehabilitation team, actively participate in rehabilitation youth and adult development activities including adaptive sports and recreation.
- Adapts to change and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Consistently achieves annual performance objectives.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from children, parents, professionals, and the general public. Must have ability to develop the consumer’s confidence and self-esteem. Requires excellent listening skills. Must be comfortable presenting to groups.
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must be proficient with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams as well as apps such as Zoom.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequently required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel. Required to engage in physical rehabilitation activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key job elements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in social work (MSW), NY State LSW and a minimum of three years post LCSW supervised experience required; 5 years or more full-time experience preferred. Experienced with visually impaired population a plus.
