Rotary Club of Utica Announces Pride of Workmanship Award

The Rotary Club of Utica, recently held its 29th Annual Pride of Workmanship Awards program on November 15. The event was a combination luncheon at the Delta Hotel and also was available through Zoom on-line.

The top five awardees were chosen from a large field of nominations and represented a cross-section of our local work force, including professionals in the medical field, police work and local non-profits.

The winners were chosen in recognition of their pursuit of excellence in their work practices plus they demonstrated an outstanding attitude and dedication to their jobs.

Roxanne Mutchler, the committee chairperson of the event, said, “The Rotary Club of Utica is proud to recognize these individuals for their quality service to their employers and the community. They truly exemplify the awards motto: ‘Do it once, do it well. Build a Better America.’”

The award winners were: Alex Carangelo, PA (Central New York Brain & Spine Neurosurgery); Laurie Depot, RN (Mohawk Valley Health System); Ed Noonan, deputy chief (Utica Police Department); Kimberly Scerbo, manager of children’s services (Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired); and Jim Smith, facilities manager (Catholic Charities of Oneida/Madison County).
